This frog was produced by a yellow pair of Bastimentos Isle pumilio. This is a line of frogs which originates with a Seattle hobbyist, many years ago, early to mid nineties is my guess for the original "importation" of selected "yellow" bastis. When I first began breeding pumilio in the late nineties, I was working with Red Frog Beach and Bri Bri, and these were the only other form of pumilio available, the blue jeans had already stopped coming in. They werent very easily available, but I talked a friendof mine who also lived in Seattle into getting me some CB offspring of his friends group of yellows. I think I got six, but I can't be sure any more.
The offspring of my yellow pairs range from red to mustard yellow, and on to dirty brown, and includes frogs that could be considered "Gold Dust" on occasion. I assume the collection locale would be "Cemetery". The Cemetery locale is a mixed color population outside of the main town on Bastimentos, and while the frogs feature the typical spotting of pumilio from Bastimentos Isle, the colors range from brown to green to red, with many colors in between produced. This frog is currently about nine months old.
