This is one of the most popular tinctorius forms, and one of the original dart frogs in the hobby. Large and colorful, these are some of the most impressive dart frogs in the terrarium hobby. The Surinam Cobalt dart frog is fairly variable in color, in particular the amount and intensity of yellow on the head and flanks varies widely from one population to another. We've made every effort to acquire nice yellow frogs here, and occasionally we offer high yellow frogs at a higher price.
These are our four to five month old juveniles, at or above one inch in length!
Please become familiar with the territorial nature of the tinctorius group before attempting to keep these frogs.
