T-5 Lighting Retrofit Kit, 2 x 48"

These kits allow you to build your own lighting for your individual terrarium, or for shelving units with multiple tanks on them. Each bulb produces enough light to support bromeliad growth at around one foot from the bulb, so you can mount the bulbs seperately. For instance a 2 x 48" kit can be used for an eight foot shelf, or two 4 foot shelves.
Or if you like your tanks very well lit, then both bulbs can be mounted directly over the tank. The TEK reflectors are 95% reflective, and that combined with the high output electronic ballast means your bulbs will be driven to maximum effect. We've been using these kits here for about two years, and have yet to replace a bulb. Rated life of bulbs is closer to one year.
Kit includes two 6500 K T-5 bulbs. 6500 K bulbs produce crisp bright ideal for terrarium use.
