This beautiful anthurium is native to the tropical forests of
Central America.
It produces long narrow leaves. Leaves are around four to five inches on younger plants. This plant tends to grow across rocks or wood, and can usually
be trained to any surface you place it on.
Growth rate is moderately fast, but it takes a long time to get large.
This plant will produce flowers and red berries.
Very nice plant!
You get a small cutting, about one to two inches of stem with one to two leaves.
This cutting should be mounted to an appropriate site in the tank as soon as possible.
Ideal sites are ones which receive good light and constant moisture.
Our tree fern poles are excellent for this, simply place the pole into the substrate and then mount the anthurium to the pole a couple of inches about the substrate. The anthurium will grow up the pole, and its roots will spread over the pole in a pleasing display. The main thing that is important is that the cutting stays wet or on a moist surface....This plant typically becomes established readily. . |
