Vittatus Dart Frog, Large Juveniles

Phyllobates vittatus (usually just called vittatus, but sometimes referred to as the Golfodulcean DartFrog, for the area in Costa Rica where they are found) are a great little frog. They are active, but somewhat shy. If you can sit and watch they have a lot of interesting interactions with their tankmates, climb a good bit, and they tend to breed quite easily. They have a great call, a long trilling call similar to frogs like Leucomelas or P. bicolor and terribilis. Vittatus, like other Phyllobates frogs, can eat a larger prey item. In fact adults can usually eat the small crickets a pet store would sell, which might be a selling point for some of you.

These frogs are just reaching a size that they can be shipped at, and are smaller.
