Epiphyllum sp. Epiphytic Cactus

This offering is for an epiphytic cactus cutting. These cacti grow in the trees of Central and South America. Typically spineless or with very reduced spines, they grow in a flattened form along tree limbs, and once established they have a pendulous habit.  Leaves can become quite long, but for at least a year or so it should remain manageable in a medium size terrarium such as a thirty gallon. They form buds occasionally, these buds form beautiful flowers which bloom for one night only typically, and only at night.  I believe this cactus is Epiphyllum strictum,  Very unusual!  Pictured is a cutting I put on sphagnum moss, and this cutting has begun to grow out into a new plant.  Depending on our availability, you are more likely to get a smaller cutting, but they grow rapidly.

Tie the cutting to a limb or other wood surface, including tree fern, and make sure it gets good light and regular moisture, but does not stay wet.
