Miniature Begonia

This little cutie is not very common, and brings a bit of color to the terrarium.  Its a low growing plant that tends to creep across the floor of the terrarium.  Its quite "soft" and delicate, but once its established in the terrarium it does very well, and flowers profusely year round.  You will need to plant this in direct light, since its on the floor of the tank its going to be some distance from the lights, and while it undoubtedly will only grow in well shaded locations in the wild, in the terrarium fluorescent lights just dont really pack much punch at 15 to 25 inches away.

You will receive a nice size cutting,  but this is a small plant, so that means its going to be about eight or ten leaves...Its not going to look like that much though, but hopefully will establish and put on a show for you in the tank. It may come mixed with some salaginella or club moss, it often grows in our tanks intermixed with this plant, so if you get some club moss with your begonia, consider it a "bonus"!

To plant it in your tank, just lay it on the substrate in an area with good light and lots of moisture.  Keep it nice and wet at first, spray it several times a day if it seems to need it.
