Costa Rican D. auratus subadult possible female

Costa Rican D. auratus subadult possible female

This single frog is about two thirds grown and while I'm not certain, it looks likely to be a female. This frog is a Costa Rican D. auratus but is from the larger more colorful form of auratus that originates there, and not to be bred with the other form.  You can find the other form on my site, it has less green and more black.
This young Costa Rican green and black dart frog is a just a few months from breeding size if you can locate a male, she would be a great start to a project! The pictured frog is the one that is available.

We provide a bit more detailed information about auratus in general here
You can also read about breeding these dart frogs here.
While the caresheet at this link deals specifically with tinctorius, the same general techniques apply!
Please do not order dart frogs without becoming familiar with their care. We provide full care instructions on the Dart Frog Care Sheets page, if you are a beginner with dart frogs, please read through this information, and feel free to ask any questions, we are happy to help.
